Holly Hunter is an American actress and producer well recognized for her high-quality performance in movies such as Broadcast News The Firm The Piano and The Incredibles. Her movie Piano earned her an Oscar. She started her career as an actor on Broadway as well as Off Broadway. Since her school days she played Helen Keller in a play during the 5th grade. Mumps made her lose hearing in one her ears, but this was not enough to stop the actress from fulfilling her dream. She studied drama at college after which she moved between Pittsburgh to New York City to follow her goals. She met Beth Henley in an elevator and they collaborated in Broadway Crimes of the Heart the first movie Hunter made.
